proud to be

teamwork.png picture by mandietams

‘There’s nothing to be ashamed of’ a very nice quotation from Boom Gonzales as he gave FEU lady tamaraws respect after receiving their first runner up trophy. Having the first spot was always the painful recognition ever in any kind of competition.

You made everything so good; I know there are no good words of encouragement at this moment to ease the pain of losing the greatest gift. Yet we, the supporter and community, want to give a round of applause for each of you ‘cause you guys made us feel proud through winning and losing. Through jumps and spikes we felt how you really want to give an honour to our school with that i think it’s enough to shout and say, ‘we’re proud to be a tamaraw’. Maybe i could end my appreciation by this: You gave the best fight. You made the whole community proud. You guys are so great without any hesitation, we are sure that the team can make it up to the end. You showed how brave are you, in holding on and believing with the team. No matter how the season ends, the team made the mark!

To the face of the volleyball and the heart and soul of FEU, Rachel Ann Daquis, Thank you. Thank you for making the team as a winning team. You made everything possible. Even without giving FEU a championship to your last stay, no doubt you gave the best fight of your career this season. You showed what a leader is and to that we want to give a round of applause for giving the team and community the heart of winning. We will not forget you, how you believed and trust the team. Thank you is not enough but for now, this is the least appreciation we could give. Thank you for giving a mark to this team.

Season 72 will be an exciting to look forward. Though Rachel won’t be with the team, i still believed with it. The heart and leadership Rachel will leave is enough to continuously believe. For now, UAAP season 71 is signing off and we’re looking forward to UAAP season 72!
